Freedom of Information

Freedom of Information Publication Scheme

Welcome to our 'Publication Scheme'

This scheme is a guide to the information routinely published by the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust. It was created in accordance with Section 19 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000|, which promotes greater openness by public authorities. We will keep this up-to-date by adding new material as this becomes available, and by creating new links to documents and papers on our site and on other external sites.

The Freedom of Information Act does not change the right of patients to protection of their patient confidentiality in accordance with Article 8 of the Human Rights Convention, the Data Protection Act 1998 and common law. We are committed to maintaining the legal right to patient confidentiality: to help with this, we have appointed a senior clinician, called the Caldicott Guardian,  who advises the Trust on the protection of patient confidentiality in accordance with your legal rights.

The Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals’ Caldicott Guardian is:

Dr Christopher Bunch
Consultant Physician
Level 3, Academic Centre
John Radcliffe Hospital
Headley Way
Headington
Oxford OX3 9DU

Information management

Information falling into the classes will be retained in line with the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust’s retention and disposal schedules, which comply with the Records Management: Code of Conduct  and Public Record Office Guidance.

Information not required for the business purposes of the Trust is stored at the Trust and at a Place of Deposit approved by the Lord Chancellor for the purpose of holding public records.

How to access information
