Maggie's Centre

Maggie's Centres help people with cancer and their families and friends all over the country. In Oxford we provide a drop-in service and telephone helpline.

At our centre, people are able to access information in the form of:

  • books
  • audiovisual materials
  • booklets
  • websites (including Macmillan Cancer Support)
  • leaflets about cancer treatment and support
  • newsletters by charities concerned with specific cancers.

We run a library loan system so that people can borrow books, and we can also help with guided internet searches. Information support specialists are on hand to help find information relevant to people's own circumstances.

The centre offers support in the form of groups, workshops and courses aimed at helping to address the emotional and psychological impact of living with cancer.
