Working for cancer services

Education and support| | Contact us|

The Oxford Cancer and Haematology Centre provides comprehensive care for patients with cancer within Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. The services within the Centre work closely through multidisciplinary teams. The Centre comprises the following.

Nursing opportunities

Each unit has opportunities for new and experienced staff. There is a patient and family-centred approach, with a focus on good communication, psychosocial support and multidisciplinary care.

There are opportunities to develop technical care skills within each specialty. There are posts in each unit and also some rotational posts within the Centre and other wards in the Trust.

Education and support

The Trust is committed to the continuing professional development of all staff. All wards in the Centre have orientation programmes tailored to individuals' needs. The training and development department runs study days in clinical and managerial skills, and there are opportunities for higher education courses in all specialties, mostly provided locally by Oxford Brookes University. All staff have regular appraisals and set agreed personal development plans. We offer flexible working opportunities whenever possible.

All areas welcome enquiries.
