OxVALVE
The OxVALVE study started in late Summer 2009 and is a clinical research study supported by the Oxford Biomedical Research Centre, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust and the Department of Primary Health Care at the University of Oxford.
The main purpose of the OxVALVE study is to find patients with unrecognised heart valve problems in order to study valvular heart disease further, and to see how common it is.
The secondary purpose is to study what happens to any abnormality of the heart valves over the long term. So far the study is progressing well.
