Choose & Book advice service

At the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS  Trust we have introduced a helpline and email service, to provide GP practices with a one-stop service for queries about patients being treated at our hospitals under Choose & Book. We also offer referral guidance to assist in Choose & Book and Directory of Services matters.

Please note, this service is for Choose & Book referrals only. You should use this service for any questions you have about your patient referrals to ORH under Choose & Book, either before the referral or during the pathway. If our call-takers are unable to answer your query at the time of the call, they will investigate and respond within 24 hours.

If you have any ideas or comments about this service, or about ORH Directory of Services, please contact:

Choose & Book and the ORH

The Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals is an 'Indirectly Bookable Service' (IBS) for Choose & Book, not a 'Directly Bookable Service' (DBS). This means that patients cannot book their appointments online and have to telephone our dedicated call centre.

We are not able to become a Directly Bookable Service at present, because our existing Patient Admissions System (PAS) is incompatible with the Choose & Book system: we are, however, currently exploring options which we hope will bring us a step closer.

We offer an email service as an alternative, which is used by an increasing number of patients and GP practices.

Referral information

Referral information is available on this website for GPs and other clinicians referring to our departments, which includes referring via Choose & book information.
