The Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust provides a general service in Paediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism for Oxfordshire and a specialist service for Paediatric Endocrinology for:

• Oxfordshire
• Buckinghamshire
• Wiltshire
• Gloucestershire
• Berkshire.

The services we offer include:

• diagnosis and management of children with a wide variety of disorders of growth and puberty, including:
  • precocious puberty
  • delayed puberty
  • growth hormone deficiency
  • constitutional delay in growth and puberty
  • familial short stature
  • hypogonadism (lack of function of ovaries or testes)
  • polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
• diagnosis and management of children with hypopituitarism (the inability of the pituitary gland to provide sufficient hormones)
• diagnosis and management of children with adrenal disorders, including congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) and Addison's disease (a rare disorder where the adrenal glands produce insufficient steroid hormones) 
• diagnosis and management of children with thyroid and parathyroid disorders
• joint specialty clinics with colleagues:
  • paediatric oncology for monitoring and management of children with late endocrine effects of oncology treatment
  • paediatric urology for diagnosis and management of children with gonadal disorders
  • adult endocrinology for children with disorders of calcium and bone metabolism
• transition clinics, four times a year, for transfer of adolescents with ongoing endocrine disorders to adult care
• endocrine support to neurosurgery, ITU and SCBU
• metabolic clinics six times a year. These are mainly for secondary care metabolic disorders such as phenylketonuria (PKU), galactosaemia (a rare, inherited, metabolic disease which is caused by the deficiency of an enzyme) and some beta-oxidation disorders.

Outreach clinics are provided at:

• Stoke Mandeville
• High Wycombe
• Milton Keynes
• Reading
• Swindon.
