Paediatric Infectious Disease and Immunology

We provide a tertiary paediatric infectious disease and immunology service, based in the University Department of Paediatrics, for the Thames Valley area, Northamptonshire and parts of Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. The service provided includes:
  • regional paediatric infectious diseases
  • regional paediatric immunology and primary immunodeficiency service
  • regional paediatric HIV service
  • joint microbiology/paediatric infectious disease clinical consultation service
  • vaccine clinic

The department includes the Oxford Vaccine Group|, which carries out clinical trials for evaluation of new and improved vaccines.

The paediatric infectious disease service is based in the Children's Hospital|, on the John Radcliffe Hospital site.

Initial contact with this service should be made via your GP.

The Oxford Vaccine Group| is based at the Centre for Clinical Vaccinology and Tropical Medicine at the Churchill Hospital.
