Podiatry

Podiatrists assess, diagnose, offer advice and treat a wide range of foot problems – what used to be referred to as 'chiropody'.

Podiatrists are important in the care of people with diabetes and/or those with poor circulation and sensation in their feet. Podiatrists treat foot ulcers and all other foot problems, advise on foot health and supply pressure relieving insoles as required. Due to the serious nature of foot problems, every effort is made to see patients as quickly as possible.

The podiatry service at Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals is run in collaboration with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust|.

A small number of specialist podiatrists work within consultant-led teams in diabetes, vascular disease and dermatology|.
