The John Radcliffe Radiology Department provides radiological services across a number of departments including:

• cardiothoracic surgery
• cardiovascular medicine
• coronary care
• general and vascular surgery
• acute medicine
• services for the elderly
• obstetrics and gynaecology
• paediatrics
• intensive care
• neonatal unit.

The department also provides radiography services to the Minor Injuries Unit| in Witney.

Drop-in service for general X-rays

Patients who have been referred by their GP are offered a drop-in service on Level 2 of the John Radcliffe Hospital, off the main corridor leading from the front entrance of the main building (opposite the chapel).

Please note that this drop-in service is for general X-rays only.

• Monday to Friday
  9.30am - 12.00pm and 2.00pm - 4.30pm

We try to keep waiting times as short as possible, but please be aware that patients arriving between 12.00pm and 2.00pm may have a longer wait.

Priority is given to booked appointments and patients from the John Radcliffe Outpatients Department.
