Trauma Service at the John Radcliffe Hospital

The Trauma Service provides treatment for patients who have sustained physical injuries (usually of bones) as a result of accidents. The care of these patients at the John Radcliffe Hospital is carried out by a dedicated team with seven trauma surgeons who provide a 24 hour consultant-delivered service that is unique to Oxford.

The Trauma Service is located in the Trauma Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital. This is a dedicated and purpose-designed building which houses the two trauma wards, the outpatient clinic area providing fracture clinics, hand clinics and spinal clinics. The building also provides facilities for radiological investigation and therapy treatment for all trauma patients.

The Trauma Unit is at the John Radcliffe Hospital|. Patients and visitors should park in car park 1 (pay and display). The Trauma Unit is located next to the car park and the entrance is clearly signposted.
