Oxfordshire Pain Integrated Outpatient and Inpatient Service (OPIOIDS)

The Pain Management Service provides a comprehensive integrated service for patients requiring relief from chronic and acute pain. It is a multidisciplinary service, including:

• specialist consultants
• pain management nurses
• psychologists
• pharmacists
• administrative staff.

The service is split into two main areas;

• an inpatient service
• the Oxford Pain Relief Unit for patients referred via GPs or other consultants.

The Pain Relief Unit accepts referrals from within Oxfordshire and beyond, and specialises in chronic pain conditions including;

• back pain
• neck pain
• face pain
• leg pain
• post surgical pain
• abdominal and stomach pain
• nerve pain.
