We are pleased to announce that Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh will visit the John Radcliffe Hospital on 27 November, to mark the opening of the West Wing and the Children's Hospital.

The visit, which has been organised jointly with the University of Oxford, will provide an opportunity to demonstrate the excellence of our patient care, teaching and research and will include a display of key future developments such as the Cancer Centre and the Oxford Heart Hospital.

During the visit, The Queen will visit the Children’s Hospital, where she will meet staff, patients, their families and some of those involved in the community fundraising effort for the Hospital.  Her Majesty will also visit one of the new operating theatres, where she will be shown an example of how research and innovation is making a difference to patient care.

The Duke of Edinburgh will visit the integrated theatres, where we will demonstrate the benefits of new operating technology.

Following the tour, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will meet with staff from the NHS, University, and with invited guests.
