The Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country, with a national and international reputation for the excellence of its services and its role in education and research. The ORH provides high quality general hospital services for the local population in Oxfordshire and neighbouring counties, and more specialist services on a regional and national basis.
Wherever possible we will provide your private care using facilities that are separated from NHS services. For some services however, this is not clinically desirable. Certain procedures or investigations requiring specific clinical expertise, or the use of highly specialist equipment, are best performed using staff or equipment shared by all patients. Examples where this is the case include access to specialist intensive care, specialist imaging and emergency cardiac arrest teams.
Whether you are cared for in a dedicated private patient facility or using a facility shared with NHS patients, we always endeavour to give you the best clinical experience. Making the best use of our resources in this way means that any surplus income generated through our private patient activities is ploughed back into supporting all our services.

Being a large institution provides Oxford Radcliffe Private Healthcare with economies of scale, which allow us to provide the highest level of care at competitive prices|.
We are confident that our prices are lower than those of other private hospitals. If you find a cheaper price elsewhere we will aim to adjust our price accordingly.
We know that financial anxieties prevent many clients from using their private medical insurance or from 'going private', so we ensure that your payments are covered by your insurance, or are set at an agreed level, prior to your admission.
