Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Training

GCP training is freely available to all ORH employees involved in clinical research and is an OUH mandatory requirement for all researchers undertaking clinical trials of medicinal products and device trials. It should be updated two yearly.

Elements of GCP are applicable to all clinical research and it is good practice for all researchers.

Face to Face Courses

Free Online Course

A free online GCP course is also available to all ORH employees. The course is designed specifically for professionals employed on non-commercial clinical trials and research studies including:

Chief Investigator, Monitor, Study Coordinator, Data Manager, Principal Investigator, Other Investigator, Study Administrator, Research Nurse, QA Manager, Project Manager, Pharmacist

The course is available in five modules:

  • Protocol and Associated Document
  • Applications, Agreements and Approval
  • Trial Master Files
  • Conducting the Trial
  • Safety Reporting

At the end of each module there is a quiz and certificates are issued. Completeion of the quiz and receipt of the certificate is needed. It is not sufficient to access and read the content without doing the module quiz.
