Oxfordshire Health Services Research Committee Grants
3rd October 2005
Would you like a research grant to develop your interests?
Research grants are available to those working in the NHS in Oxfordshire
Grants are made to salaried staff, including those with honorary contracts, and to general practitioners:
- To support clinical research, community/primary care research and relevant laboratory studies.
- To provide opportunities for research by Health Service workers arising out of, and closely
related to, their day to day practice.
- To wholly fund small projects or pilot studies, which can be carried out within two years, but at its
discretion the Committee can make contributions to larger-scale projects.
Most of the Committee’s funding comes from the Nuffield Oxford Hospitals Fund (NOHF), but in addition
the Committee also manages the research funds resulting from other charitable donations. Funds are
limited and awards are made on scientific merit of the application.
Research Grants of up to £7,000 are given.
Closing date for Research Grants is
7th December 2005
