Horton Maternity Unit

Each year more than 1,600 women give birth at the Horton Maternity Unit in Banbury. This is a consultant-led unit caring for women with high- and low-risk pregnancies.

Women requiring very specialist care are transferred to the Women's Centre at the John Radcliffe Hospital, or to other neighbouring units.

There are six rooms on the Delivery Suite, one of which has a birthing pool. There is a 24 hour epidural service and an obstetric theatre.
